Statement of Need
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia in clinical practice and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. When treating non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF), the importance of tools that can engage patients in their own care should not be overlooked. Digital health tools such as digital coaching and use of e-consults help foster shared decision-making and facilitate collaborative care strategies, thus optimizing treatment outcomes and costs.
In this CME Outfitters On Demand, expert faculty explore digital tools and the data that support them showing their impact on outcomes and costs, as well as reviewing best practice models that clinicians can use.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to:
- Incorporate the use of digital health tools to facilitate collaborative care strategies to optimize treatment outcomes and costs.
Financial Support
Supported by an educational grant from the Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer Alliance.
Target Audience
Primary care physicians, cardiologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses.
