The burden of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has grown substantially in the last several decades, and while the management paradigm for COPD continues to evolve, the treatment of COPD remains inadequate. The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) consistently updates management guidelines to reflect the latest advances and inform treatment selection; however, adherence to guidelines is suboptimal. This often leads to comorbidities being under appreciated, inappropriate treatment selection, and poor communication among members of the care team.

This CME Outfitters Live and On Demand features both pulmonology and primary care physicians and utilizes an interactive, animated 3-D model of the lung to help bridge the knowledge gap regarding evolving COPD guidelines and optimal treatment.
